Brands, The Feeling Behind A Business

Posted by Bob on

The definition of a brand states that it is, ‘A type of product manufactured by a particular company under a particular name.’ “a new brand of soap powder”. However when companies ‘brand’ products or even the company itself, the definition of branding can go much deeper and even into the territory of emotions.

For example large fast food restaurants have made the decision to brand themselves in a certain ways. This can take course over a number of years and continue to evolve, but companies have made the decision to attempt to invoke a feeling in its potential and recurring customers.

They do this with the use of images, the use of words in marketing, the type of furniture in their restaurants. Even the fact certain large establishments label themselves as a restaurants, as opposed to take-away. These are all carefully considered factors, established and tested over many years all with the intention of making you, the customer feel a certain way towards the business.
